How does a house go from this vacant lot...                           to a finished home!

This page will take you step by step through every phase of the process.

Step 1. Paperwork

Question: Emil, I've just purchased my lot and I want to build.  Now what?

Answer: Even though an empty lot isn't much to look at, a lot of things are happening before any workers show up on day 1.  You and I will sit down together and go over "The Books" making sure that everything is the way YOU want it.  Now is the time to make changes or additions to your proposed home.  It's a lot easier to make changes on paper instead of half way through the construction process.  A start date will be set and ground will be broken then to begin your new home.

Step 2.  The Excavators

The first workers to show up on day one are the excavators.  Ground is broken to dig your foundation and/or basement depending on what you want.  A good solid home starts with a good solid foundation.  My excavators will make sure that your foundation is level and square and built exactly to print.  I build top quality into all of my homes from the ground up to the last roofing shingle.
